On Sep 12th we celebrated ‘ONAM’ the harvest festival of Kerala with the arrival of Mahabali in our campus.Honourable Chairman Mr. K. Arun Kumar Reddy and respected Principal, Mrs.Sheela Nair presided over the programme after offering flowers at the feet of Lord Venkateshwara.

The Programme started with the story of a popular legend , King Mahabali , a devotee ofLord Vishnu . Onam celebrates the visit of king Mahabali to the state of Kerala every year. The festival is celebrated as a tribute to the sacrifice oing Mahabali. Traditional dance “Mohiniattam”, “Kalari Payuttu” , the martial art form of Kerala and the “Kaikottukalli” ,otherwise known as Onam dance formed the highlights of the day besides a skit on the story behind Onam celebration. “Pookallam” or the flower rangoli lend a Malayali touch to the celebrations . The celebrations were conducted to enthuse the students with the varied cultural heritage of our motherland.
